We set up Evolve Home Energy Solutions because we wanted to bring a new approach to energy efficiency based on quality, customer service and innovation.
Between us we have:
- Worked for some of the leading insulation companies as a technician, foreman and supervisor and in management roles across sales, marketing, business development, contract management and operations.
- Project managed more than 3,000 cavity clearances.
- Developed a system that means cavity wall insulation can be installed with fewer drill holes and in hard to access properties.
Now, with Evolve, we provide specialist insulation services to both the domestic and commercial markets. We’ve set ourselves extremely high standards that you’ll see in the quality of our workmanship and through all aspects of our customer care.
We believe we’re the name you can trust in our industry and work hard for all our customers to demonstrate why.

Our qualified team
We use the same equipment and materials as other insulation companies. So it’s our people that make the difference. They’re the ones who work on your home, who you talk to and who you trust.
We’re fortunate enough to work with some of the best people in the business. Some we employ directly and others work for us as freelancers. However, they’re all experienced, friendly and committed to our exacting high standards.
Chartered Building Surveyor and Structural Engineer
Mark Knight RICS (ECO Assessor Certified)
Mark Knight is a qualified chartered surveyor and structural engineer with more than 35 years’ experience managing large property portfolios. He heads up our team of surveyors and domestic energy assessors and signs off all our installations, extractions and energy performance certificates.
Mark has written best practice guides for installing cavity wall insulation in both hard to reach properties and those in high exposure areas. He has also written best practice guides for cavity wall extraction.
Stephen Morgan, Installations Technical Supervisor
Stephen Morgan began his career in the energy sector in 2003, starting as an insulation technician and continually building on his training and qualifications.
Now Stephen is our leading technical expert on installation and extractions and oversees our team of technical inspectors.
We have a team of fully qualified and certified thermographers. We use thermal imaging to identify and confirm voids in insulation, slumping insulation, moisture ingress, dampness and the condition of render.
Who we work for
We work across the UK for homeowners, tenants and the owners and managers of commercial properties.
We are also approved contractors for a diverse and growing list of organisations who all trust us to work on their behalf. To work for these organisations we must maintain high standards of health and safety, customer care and workmanship. To see who we’ve impressed click here.
Our accreditations demonstrate where we are meeting certain standards. We work hard to maintain them and are always keen to add more where they will help us improve.

The insulation industry is regulated, although some would like to see this strengthened. We’d welcome more robust regulation as we’d be happy to be exposed to the scrutiny and control it would bring.
To give our customers extra reassurance we’ve developed our own best practice procedures. These include a report we issue to every client evidencing the work we’ve done and a feedback form that will help drive our improvement.
We would also like a rated contractor system to be in place specifically for our industry and so are giving our support and time to help make this a reality.
How we’ve led improvement
The British Board of Agrément (BBA) provides approval, certification and test services to manufacturers of products and systems for the construction industry. It is one of the UK’s leading bodies, recognised by building control, government departments, architects, local authorities and insurers such as the National House Building Council (NHBC).
In order to improve health and safety for installing technicians, one of our directors, Gary Randle, developed a new way to install cavity wall insulation beads. His solution, a thermascopic bead lance, means:
- Fewer ladder movements
- Less impact on the structure of a property
- Fewer drill holes and none in the face of a wall
- Cavity wall insulation beads can be installed in hard to access properties e.g. those with a conservatory, extension or carport.
This is the only BBA approved system of insulation installation in the country.
Gary also designed an insulation extraction system that in 2009 was the first to be BBA approved. This was reassessed and reapproved in 2014 and remains in common use across the industry today.
