Job description
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Site Support Officer / Site Labourer / Van Driver to support our on-site operations, mainly in and around the Bristol area. This role involves general labouring duties, maintaining site cleanliness, performing rubbish runs, collecting materials from suppliers, and assisting with other tasks as directed by the Site Manager. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, good communication skills, and a commitment to safety.
Key responsibilities:
- Site clean-up: Keep the site tidy and free from debris, including sweeping, clearing rubbish, and organising tools and materials.
- Rubbish runs: Regularly transport waste and recyclable materials to appropriate disposal locations.
- Material collection: Drive to suppliers to collect necessary materials and deliver them back to the site promptly.
- Assist site manager: Support with various tasks, including basic painting, and other duties as requested by the Site Manager
- Adhere to safety standards: Follow all health and safety protocols, including the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as a hard hat, hi-vis, and safety boots.
Qualifications:
- Driver’s license: Valid driver’s license
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or site labouring is an advantage but not essential.
- Physical stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting and moving materials.
- Safety-conscious: Knowledge of and commitment to workplace safety practices.
Skills:
Communication: Good communication skills to liaise effectively with the Site Manager and other team members
Reliable and punctual: Strong time management and dependability.
Team player: Ability to work effectively with team members and take direction.
Proactive: Able to identify tasks that need attention and address them without constant supervision.
