Saving Energy = Saving Money!
According to a OnePoll survey of 2000 US citizens, one of the most common New Year’s resolutions was the intention to save more money for the future so we have taken a look at how becoming more energy efficient could help people achieve this goal.
Becoming more energy efficient around your home can save you money by using less energy and therefore reducing your energy bills.
Generating or investing in your own renewable energy is one way to reduce your bills. The Energy Saving Trust has put together this handy list of all the ways you can install renewable energy within your home.
If you can’t generate your own energy – having a modern, energy efficient boiler will ensure that you’re heating your home efficiently. Over half of the average household’s fuel bills goes towards providing heating and hot water. Upgrading from an old G rated boiler to a modern A+ rated boiler could save you around £205 a year, depending on the size of your home.
You may be eligible for funding towards a boiler replacement under the grants currently offered by the government, including the Green Homes Grant scheme which is available to everyone in England.
The Green Homes Grant scheme also covers certain renewable energy sources such as air source and ground source heat pumps. To find out more about these and talk to someone about which grants you may be eligible for, give our grants team a call on 0800 292 2554 or email [email protected]
